Title: New to this thing called poutin

Hey guys me and my buddies are headin to walker for our first eelpout festival. you guys got any tips on catchin them? and what would you suggest for gear? we pretty much just have walleye gear. is that gonna be enough for the Mighty 'pout or are we gonna have to bulk up?

If you really want to catch Pout at the Festival
1) get away from the crowds
2)  find a rocky bottom 20-40ft with deep water nearby
3) Keep it quiet and dark
4) Jig with glow northland rattle jigs with a treble dropper
5) tipup with a small sucker/ big shiner 6" off bottom
6) dont get so drunk you cant fish! ;D

If you have a lake trout set up or trophy walleye set up, then you'll be fine.
