remodeling my ice house
« on: Mar 26, 2020, 03:50 PM »
Well I am starting a remodel  of my ice house.  I am adding 30 inches to its length and moving the bed and putting in shelves and cabinets for storage.

What size is it now?
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

9x7 feet, so it was tight with another person.  At 11.5x7 feet it should add room to move around.

My wheel house was 6.5x12 and three fishing in it was easy unless someone had to bring a lot of gear. When spending a few days on the ice one of my friends had stuff lined up for six feet along a sidewall. I told him he needed to put most of his stuff in the pickup since the two holes he was covering were his. Fishing two in it was a breeze.

I built this one 10 years ago I  and it is warm and secure.  It was on skids to start with, then I built a drop axle trailer to put it on for more ease of moving.  I pull it with a 2001 400 Polaris.

I know this is an old topic, but any pictures of how the remodel turned out? I am trying to outfit mine, and I'm trying to get some ideas.

Thank you look for it on the south end of the lake and I will give you a chance to look close at it.  It took me 4 weeks just to remodel it this year, so building another one????? maybe but unlikely.  It is warm and comfortable but i only built it with one single bed for me. Selfish I guess

Just added a microwave oven,  that should make heating up food so much easier.
