Smelt-Rite
« on: Feb 01, 2003, 04:20 PM »
I just picked up a little bottle of this stuff at peace pipes/Fish307 earlier today. Its supposed to be the nuts, anyone have a comment on it. I am trying it tommorrow for lakers and salmon. I am going off of Fort Anne beach. I guess just a little squirt on my sucker or icicle? Any testimonials?

Smelt Rite is good stuff. I thought the guy stoped making it. Good to hear he is still in business.

I herd some stories of guy's gettin lakers on Lake George with it, so I just ordered a bottle.  I'll let ya know once trout season opens... Or Champlain freezes

Well... Walleye seemed to like the taste of it.  Got two last weekend and both minnows had some rubbed on them.  Trout opens Saturday, so I'll see how they like it.

Also caught a 30" laker a couple weeks ago on Champlain using smelt-rite.  Can't say for sure that's what did it but I got one and my friend didn't catch anything.  don't know yet still more fishing to do before I make up my mind. Dosen't seem to hurt... ???
