what counts as a trout.  Because we have arctic char and rainbows here that we consider trout.  Is it just rainbows?

Arctic char are from the same family of fish as lake trout, so yeah u could say they are trout :) but to me when i hear the word trout i usually think of rainbows, browns, or brookie's.  I am from MA so it may be different over there.   :)

The species have been changed to be more specific . ;D
The brown trout can get upwards of forty pounds so we decided to put it in with the "big boys". ;)

LoneWolf,
I am aware of the fact that browns get that big, but how often does it happen? Don't mean to be rude or anything but bows get just as big,a 30" Brown is huge, but a similar pike or muskie is nothing too special. Maybe another section is in order. ;) Maybe a Walleye,LL Salmon,Brown Trout, Channel Cat, and Bowfin one? Hope I help

Let's not get "crazy" with what counts and what division. The rules are set, now go and try and catch one. Now I'm off to catch my entry.....you should all do the same.  ;D
