Not quite Idaho, but hit Diamond Lake, WA today. Pulled up 13 trout in 3 hours between 2 adults and 2 kids. Lost a good amount at the hole. Ice varied between 7-12 inches. About 5 inches of slush on top unless you got to the clear spots where the ice was 12 inches (7 good, 5 of frozen slush)

Decided to hit Blue again with the cold overnight temps.  Ice profile was a bit firmer than yesterday.  Still a slush layer in there but the surface slush was a bit firmer under the snow.  Didn’t punch through as much today.  Landed around 18 or so in 2 hours.  Mostly perch, a couple of crappie, and about 4 or 5 LMB.  Flasher was active but the bites were very light. Had 2 dead sticks and they were basically dead…..one bite and one fish on the two dead sticks.  Everything else took quite a bit of jigging to entice the bites….and they were there on the flasher….just a soft hesitant bite today.

Upper Twin report - fished it this afternoon, there's about 3 inches of mostly frozen slush on top of 5-6" of ice. Lots of little perch; I didn't catch anything else or see anyone else do so.

Any ice reports for Round?

Any ice reports for Round?

I heard it was 5 -7 inches of solid ice. People were pulling up tons of perch and trout this weekend.

Avondale was up to 8” of ice yesterday. 2 clear and the rest was cloudy but nice and firm. VERY  slow bite. No perch. Just a half dozen trout. Lots of people were out there but most packed up early. Marked plenty of fish. Just couldn’t get many to commit. I showed up late morning. Felt like the fish were starting to turn on (a little) around 3 when i left.

I fished Round lake yesterday (Sun.).   Slow fishing, caught 4 trout but never got a hit on perch.  Only two other pairs of fishermen there when I was there.  Ice and getting around after the big snow dump was surprisingly good.  Eagles were hollering and it was a beautiful day with no wind.  Just slow fishing.

Anyone fish cocolloa today? Saw about 8 guys out there this morning.  Ice looked clear from snow was wonder how thick it was? Considering going tomorrow.  Went out there before last snow and had 4 in of clear black ice, hoping the snow had froze enough to pull a sled out there!!!!

Raynebidz-Ice is good on Mirror-there was 4-5" with a water layer then 2-3 cloudy on top of it-slicker than heck.  Bite was slow-lots of looks but no bites in  2 hours for us.  the 1 guy that was catching kokes only had a few and had been out there for a while.  If you have any tips for kokes on mirror i'd appreciate it-we couldn't get them to bite.

As far as the kokes on mirror lake I would say a change in weather will help the bite. High pressure sucks for ice fishing usually!

anyone been on Hauser?

Can't speak from personal experience but I heard 2nd hand that Hauser has about 8" of good ice and the perch bite today was decent in 18' to 20' of water. Keepers were running about 9".

Hit Hauser this am ice is 7-8 inches. Lots of perch in about 18 feet of water took a lot of weeding through little ones to bring home 22 decent ones but very fun fishing!

Spent 2.5 hours on cocollala this morning and did about 50 or so perch, kept 40 ish of them all great size.  Fished about 35 feet of water with a bead nymph and a perch eye.  Action was non stop until noon.  Good ice, 4 inches of clear and 3-4 cloudy, half inch of snow on top and super slick.

Went to check round and cocolalla.

Rounds got about 3.5 good clear with the rest softer white. Around 9” total. Some spots are 4” of slush and water.  Fished a quick hour iced one planter trout.

Cocolalla has a bit of water on top slick as hell. A good 5” of clear almost 9 total. Didn’t fish.

I plan on either gamlin or cocolalla tomorrow morning. Hopefully a gamlin report comes on tonight.
