Fished Great Pond
« on: Feb 12, 2024, 07:33 PM »
Ice conditions were good with 12 to 15 inches of mixed ice with a slight skim on top but solid underneath.  Had the place to ourselves except for 5 eagles who kept a good eye on us through the day.  Kept 3 bass and released everything else.  All in all, one of our better days on the ice so far this year.  Lost count of the flags but action was constant from 11 to 430.

Is this Great Pond in Belgrade or a different Great Pond?

It took a while but, in some places, it seems to be pretty good.  Not like the days when there was enough ice in most places to drive on but on foot its not a problem.  There is no substitute for being careful and making sure of what's under you especially if you plan to stay on top and not go swimming.
