Boulder res?
« on: Feb 24, 2023, 02:08 PM »
According to what I've read, its legal to ice this lake and after looking at it on the humminbird it seems like a decent place to chase perch and maybe even an eye or two. Anyone ever fish there?

Icing Boulder Rez seems to come up every year.  I've worked in Boulder for 30 years and occasionally see 1 or 2 people out there.  This year I've seen guys out on Coot Lake a few times which is just adjacent to it on the NE side.  Before 911 you could drive right out to the dam from 63rd and catch Walleyes from the shore during the spawn.  It seems like its not really managed as a fishery anymore although I haven't tried it in years.  I'd be curious to hear about recent outings.

I've fished from the shore a handful of times during the early summer and did okay. I may study the map a bit and head out first thing Sunday morning if the wind isn't too bad. I'll let you guys know how it goes
