Looking for cabin rental
« on: Jan 09, 2022, 07:27 PM »
Hey fellow maine fisherman.  Me and some buddies are looking for a cabin to rent that is right lakeside in a good producing body of water. Probably just a long weekend. Can be rustic, 2-3 bedrooms, and fireplace/wood stove preferred.

Thanks In advance for any leads!

Dave

Good afternoon - I'm not sure where you guys are heading out from, but Tomhegan Camps on Moosehead usually has some openings.  If you guys can do a midweek trip, you'll have a better chance of finding something.  You can go to the booking page on their website and see what they have open.  You can also ask to be put on the cancellation list at a lot of places that may be booked up.

Yes I suggest tomhegan cabins also. I've stayed there a few times. The owners / keepers are friendly and nice as are the people that stay there......usually lol
Fishing is easy. Catching is the hard part.

I just spent a weekend at Greenland Cove Cabins on West Grand Lake and it was wonderful.  Great hosts and good spot.  Cabin we stayed in, #5 had a wood stove which was terrific for keeping the cold out on sub zero nights.
