North of South and East of West
« on: Feb 21, 2021, 11:42 AM »
Extremely tough bite.  All fish except the bigger walleye came on a small tungsten and a p3 plastics 1” crawzi in red, tipped with a small piece of red wiggler worm.  The  bigger walleye came off a medium silver crushed ice Swedish pimple with a 1 3/4” VMC dropper chain, tipped with red wiggler.

Two biggest perch were 13.5”.  One walleye was 18.5” and the other with his eyes bulging out is 18.0000000”.  Only caught one other small perch and two short eyes.  Lost two on the way up and missed a few nibbles.  Mostly dead sticking and using black magic to determine exactly when they had it in their mouth.

It seemed tough overall.  Never seen a bite like that.  Not many showing up on the flasher either.  I kept my gain low and used the narrow transducer angle to see them on the bottom better.
