A nice leisurely morning - left the house at 7am, on the ice at 9am. Limits by 11am, home by 2pm to see Brady punch his 10th ticket to the big game!
My hands are tired from filleting! . Got a nice pile of death today. Two limits in two hours. Nothing huge, but good eater size. Biggest went 8.5". I'm getting pretty good at filleting: tried the quick method posted by Shoe, and it's ok. I still like keeping the head ON while filleting. Tacos for days! (Image removed from quote.)
Missed this post. Nice job - easy limits are great. Glad you are thinning the herd. I don't like cutting the heads off either. I had an electric fillet knife laying around not being used...it makes quick work of it...so, I have gotten used to it. I think a 2" instead of a 4" fillet knife is needed on these dinks. Stew is almost gone - I will have to go back.s

Turned out great! With my creamy cilantro sauce and coleslaw...YEP...twas good.
