Bigger Lakers Came to Play, Buddy Got a HUGE Laker

Once the Lake Trout lakes freeze I spend a lot of time chasing Lakers, after a few years you make it a mission to go after something big. I fail more then I succeed and get smaller fish most of the time but it's always a great feeling when you get new people onto big fish! My buddy caught a nice Lake Trout this day. I ended up with a 28incher. One of them spit out a stocked rainbow trout at about 12 inches. Love it!

yea I was a bit amazed this day on Wednesday the traffic was bumper to bumper for some reason.

That looks like the giant Laker I caught several years ago. Big head no body.

He didn't care about how fat it was, his PB before this laker was a 24 incher.

My big one from there was 34in with beer belly! Quality fish in there still. some skinny some abnormally fat. Cant' share the picture because it's not mine but my buddy sent me a pic of a nice 38 incher that had a huge gut. I think their eating crawfish.

Indeed if most lakes in colorado had crawfish the fish would get even bigger but i know that crawfish can destroy some other things the fish need.

Oh nice fish sir! The length is great on that fish, and it'll eat when it sees an opportunistic meal.
