Big Perch and Some Big Slimers

Happy Holidays Everyone ;D

Went out recently with a buddy to get after some warm water species for the first time this ice season! Had a bit of a grindy time but the weather was great and I was in good company!

Got some good Perch, Shattered my Yellow Perch PB (12.75"), and got a surprise Ice PB Trout at 20"+! The trout was quite the fight as I was using 3# Micro Ice Trilene and had to keep putting my rod in the water so the line wouldn't rub on the bottom side of the hole! During the late part of the afternoon the ice got a bit noisy and we had a crack go right under us that made us pucker up quite a bit😂😂

Was good to meet you as well TimK while out on the hard water!! Next time I'll catch a 15" Perch and come yelling for Slayer!

Nice video as always.  What is the closest hotel from there?  Thinking I need to stay up there for 1 night, can't do like Slayer.  I hate getting old.

Thanks man! It was a fun grindy morning, wasn't expecting a double PB day...That sun really made it comfortable out there too.

Happy to have it in my backyard, wish the other reservoir nearby had the same size perch. Next time I'll come say whats up if you're on the ice!

There is a plethora of hotels since lots of hunters come out here. Closest would probably be about 10 min away.
