I've never fished it during hard water and am curious on the conditions and what might work there this time of year. Any info will be appreciated.

anything that looks like, sounds like, smells like,  a 2-3 inch gizzard shad. Some of the ice under the snow should be about 7 inches, or more, or less.  Has been fishing, slow, slower, and not at all.
