Check this link out. It's a live weather camera on the lake. Also, at the top, there is a "second view" to another camera pointed at Deer island and another link to ice reports. Can't wait to get up there!

Iced that place twice, once got the skunk, once caught lakers so small I didnt think it possible! They were 7" if that big! I'd rather go ice fish a sewer. :P

I agree with Slayer and had the same thought - never knew lakers could be so small and skinny.  Only iced GM once and caught about twenty 7-8" lakers in two hours.  Never been back though I know some people have caught decent ones out of there.

We will be staying up on Granby over the New Year and was wondering if the lake is not ready any recommendations to any other close lakes near by? I saw Shadow Mountain, Grand and Willow Creek are near by and was wondering if its worth trying those out. Hopefully I can get you all an ice report when I get up there but would like to have back ups.

Not sure it will be frozen but Williams fork has good laker fishing and pike as well.  That's were I would go.

Wisco -

I'd definitely choose WF over the other lakes.  WF usually ices a week or so ahead of Granby and has good action, mostly for eaters though my friends (not me) have pulled some big ones out of there.

Does this mean Pueblo is finished for the year?

Thanks for the advice on Williams Fork and might have to make that a plan B if Granby isn't ready.  Hopefully have some good reports (pictures) to report back.
