you wont find any crappie on sabbattus thats for sure maybe some white perch but no crappie. I dont know about pleasant pond as I have not fished there since 03. Buker pond in litchfield supposedly has crappies in it just ask oldfox he knows where they are hiding. Sabbattus is nothing but smallies, Large mouth bass, Pike and white perch.

Was on Buker on sunday, got a few slabs, nothing like years past though.  I have never tried the adjoining lakes up there...

I hit Pleasant in Litchfield/Richmond last Sunday during the snowstorm. You can't (as of yet) fish there at night for crappies, but I figured with the cloudy day, the crappie bite may have been on...I was WRONG >:( I fished four hours and caught only two of the buggers. One was a 10.5" and the other was only 9ish. Last year, I had a day where I caught 10 or so of them, but the largest that day was 9". I have seen them over 12" though. Guys usually do better on traps with small shiners than they do on jigs (At least for the slabs).
