I was up to Seboeis Lake fishing with 6 others on Sunday.  Myself and 2 others couldn't keep up with all the flags
that we were getting.  I'd tend to one flag, and another would be going up.  That happened almost all morning long.
We caught several splake.  Each kept 2 and released the rest.  There were 3 guys that caught some nice salmon, 21" +.

Pretty busy for a few hours sunday on Highland.

I actually credited it to the overcast skies and storm front.

I had a hot bite on warm water fish on a small pond north of Augusta on Sunday.  Iced 22 largemouths and 12 big yellow perch in under 4 hours.  All jigging with a tiny jig tipped with a waxie.  That said, I was using a flasher and observed the fish come in.  Fish were not very aggressive....had to really tease them to strike.  Holding the jig dead still and then raising it a foot seemed to ignite the most hits.  Fishing without a flasher would have been very hard.  My buddy fishing a few yards away just got 7 bass and 1 perch.

Slow for me on Moose Pond - got there at 6:30, left at 12:30, I had 1 flag all day.  I made it count - a 18" salmon.  My buddy caught his limit by 8:30.  My other buddy lost a monster around 11:00.  Although we action, it was significantly slower than the previous weekend.

It was a weird weekend.
Saturday was rotten!  3 fish (1 pickerel, 1 bass, 1 trout)
Sunday was awesome!  11 northerns  ;D, 3 bass, and a wicked big trout.  (my buddy will be putting 1 of the pike into the derby for the Maine team too)

So I was psyched, but I talked to some other folks and they didn't have much luck on Sunday either.  We must have just hit it right.

I went flagless Sunday afternoon on Messalonskee.  I figured it was just my punishment for not getting out there early...   ::)  Oh well, there will be plenty of other opportunities later on!

I fished saturday and picked up seven brookies up to 15in in the morning. It sucked that it was cold and windy as hell where I was.  Good fishing overall, but nothing huge.
I couldn't get my kitchen pass for Sunday though :P....later this week maybe.

Isn't that weird - it was just the opposite for us.  Do you think we'll ever figure out this ice fishing thing?  PM me when you get out next and I'll stop by and say hi.  Not sure about this weekend - I don't usually ice fish in the rain  :-\
