Who's going to Square on Sunday? (update)

Derby on Square in Acton/Shap this Sunday to benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program.  Anyone from here headed down, up or over?

ahhh yes the dreaded great east derby last year.  The ice conditions and my conditions prevented me from maken it all the way across the ice last year!  Square's a different story!

You pretty much live there anyways right. I have the auger this year. If I am working the night before I may hit it, if not then probably Knox County Derby.  You info on the Square derby?  Like a link to the prizes and times and all. I can't find it

First is a prize pack from cabelas worth $500, 2nd is a 6'8' shack, Not sure what 3rd is.  I know they will be raffling off a muzzleloader and there are a bunch of other door prizes

At least we got one heck of a low pressure system around this week/weekend.    Not to excited about the moon though.  If you're going to go for 15, you might as well go for 20!  Dream big!

I will be there have a buddy with a camp on it....
me and maineultra as well as several of my buddies will be fishing sat and sunday....
Fished it on Sunday probably  a foot of ice that day...not sure how it will look now.
caught one smallmouth bass and a small brookie....
looking forward to my first tournament.

I'll be there with a group....just pulled my shack this morning.I'll just drag it back on Sunday with the wheeler......no blocking or anchoring though.At the end of the derby I'll drag it right back off.

$10, you can register at beadles any day or at the culvert the day of

As of this time registration is by mail only or at the culvert....we are trying to get the registrations swapped over to Beadles,Lakeside or the culvert.The mailing it in thing doesn't seem to be working well.

??.  I know you can sign up for sure at beadles.  I was just told by one of the tourniment staff that you could sign up at lakeside as well??

Everyone going to be on Ch 7?? Hope to get over there. Parking is limited unless you drive on. I was on culvert side and watched a vehicle drive out from behind the island a couple weeks ago. Not sure if I would do that now tho.

The weather over the next 3-4 days is what has me worried, 2-4" of rain and warm temps..........not good for ice.

When I towed my shack off yesterday I drove the rubicon right out to it.....Sunday may be another matter.The shore is taking a beating.

Didn't move them, but went up.  Snowed most of the day up there so it didn't look bad yet (this was around 6 last night).  Will be up there Friday and Saturday to scope things out, I will post how things are Saturday afternoon.

Derby's still on.  Won't be canceled until Saturday afternoon IF it is canceled.  Right now they're pretty sure it will be a go.  Buddies moved shacks and drilled a few holes this afternoon, still 10 inches of ice.  Shores weren't bad where they were.
