"FOR WHAT IT"S WORTH !"
« on: Jan 09, 2010, 08:06 AM »
Couldn't take it anymore; Ventured out yesterday afternoon.(Went to Pleasant Pd.) .... Appeared as though it might have froze enough to use the Ranger (Polaris)......I was wrong!.....Got around ok, but kept breaking thru, ( In 2ins. of water ).......I didn't dare go to far from the launch.....It needs a few more good cold days before I go back.... Hopefully, the next couple of days will do the job????
For what it's worth guys; I'd be very careful out there.....Not the best conditions AT ALL!

      Stay safe,    LL

Lou just give her sum. I have been told that the ice is nice and thick. Was that just a slushy mess to deal with?

Good to hear ya didn't go all the way through..
I guess it depends where ya go. I fished a pond Thur. And saw 2 trucks on the ice....one was a full size Chevy and the other was a ranger (ford)
Needless to say they stayed on the top side.
