Thinking about selling my standard with reverse and upgrading to the twin track. Any thoughts?

I’m looking at getting one of the new models myself. If you can find one in stock grab it. I think most of them are sitting on a container ship at the moment. Haven’t found anywhere that has the new models in stock

Yep every dealership I talk to has them on order but waiting for them to arrive. I’m thinking about picking up a sport.

I must really be missing something here.....what is the advantage of these over a snowmobile?! A tracked vehicle you have to stand up to use? Not trying to start an argument, I'm actually serious! ???

Cost and can fit in the bed of a pickup? That is what I can see.

Weight is the big one too. Can use with less ice then then snowmobile and they can be used with no snow. great for moving stuff year round.

No need for registration, doesnt take up the whole truck bed or need a trailer.its hell to load my 340 sled into my truck bed then no room for gear and alot of lakes have crap unplowed parking which makes bringing a trailer a pain.i will be building one when i find a donor sled.

Snowdogs have a small footprint for storage in a garage . Great if you don’t have room for a sled or atv . Also no trailer needed. I think snowdogs don’t need to be registered like a snowmobile ?

Ok....guess that makes sense....thanks, guys.

The big thing for me as mentioned above is weight. I’ve got a Polaris Ranger decked out for ice fishing but I live in West Michigan. Some years we get enough ice to use it and others we don’t. Even the years that we do get the ice it’s not until late season.

Same here, I'm also in west Michigan. The last two years the ice has been sketchy. Way to much snow on top of the ice to make safe ice for heavier machine travel.

I'm looking at getting one of these and for all the above mentioned reasons. I don't want another yearly tag to buy. I just found out we have a dealer in our state. I'll keep watching for new ones but I might just make sure I'm gonna get out more this year to warrant the expense.

Often you can find a donor sled for free. For about $800 and a few weekends you can build 1.

I picked up mine in July, local dealer only had 2 and warned me he might not get more. I like the fact I can use from early ice until late ice as it has a lighter foot print than myself. Actually got to play around with a home made one last year and found it worked great, even pulling 4 flip overs with people on them. Can’t wait for ice.
