This is a good year to make and Ice house. All you have to do is frame the house now. Then after the NOV. elections are done go get the corrigated plastic signs and attach.........Now you have a well insulated cheap, and probably highly flamable ice house........Which is good at the end of the season, just torch it and you don't have to pull t off the ice (OK, just kidding about the last part, but the use of signage as walls or insulation I'm not kidding about)..........Let the season begin.

good thinking . I'm building one this fall. i have all the studding and floor wood just looking for light weight walls now. leaves are falling .. wont be long now.

mine will be 8x6.. zorros what are you going to make the walls out of ? thinking of going to the state shed and see what they do with all old signs that they are replacing. that would take care of putting reflective tape on the outside.. lol..

NH i am using 5.2 mm plywood for the walls and 2x2 struts with foam insulation. And then 1/2" wood for floor and roof.

i actually like zorros semi perm.. the one with 4x8s and a canvass tarp... mine is finished now,but the cheap chip board i used need replacing.. i actually plan on doing it today,if i can get off this dang comp!

And i didnt say above, but i am building a new 6 x 7 1/2 full hard side shanty! But it will be able to be taken apart for easy transport to the ice. And the kicker is it will be a cow pattern.

Here's my semi-perm: 4X8 that folds up to about 5" thick...

Guessing around 250#...pull with the quad when I can but 2 guys can pull it fairly easy
