any one know where i can catch stripers through the ice? or if i even can in nh?

Tat As Jiggin would say . You have a better chance catching a STRIPPER though the ice

im not going to say its impossible around here, but I think its very unlikely because of the fish being a migratory species. I know there are some hold over fish but I think it would be a lot of wasted time.

There was a post somewhere about a guy getting stripers through the ice on the Hudson River near Albany ......  He didnt post any pics and at the very least there is a good chance he was BS'ing.

But .......  the river does freeze... there are definitely holdover stripers and it could be true..........   but extremely dangerouse.... could you imagine falling through...  the current would have you away from your hole in a flash.

I have one buddy who fishes some bays and coves .... ties a rope around himself and to a tree on shore.

Personally ... i think i'll just wait till open water before i risk my life for a fish  :o

I know there have been a few caught  down here on the CT. river coves..  I think Blaine from CTO has some pictures of stripers through the ice Blaine you out there???..... :tipup: :tipup:
