I use it in certain circumstances.  I'm not finished with my experimentation but when fish are agressive they are much easier than live bait.  I use the Gulp tube jigs for lakers with good success, and often I tip large jigging spoons with them instead of pinched minnows for eyes & pike.  Sometimes it works better than real and sometimes not.  You really have to experiment with it and figure out whether you like it for your style of fishing.  For me, they have a place in my sled.

plenty of people have used and tried it, me too.
Do I swear by them, nope, but every bait has it's time and play.  8)

I keep a pack of the tiny chartreuse crayfish ones in my box in case I run out of spikes while jigging.  I've caught crappie and perch with them, but I don't think they work quite as well as live bait in my experience.

Still, it's good to have as a backup since they don't really "go bad", and they do last a long time without deteriorating while on the hook.

What colors do you use, & for what?  I bought some last year (the grubs), but never got to use them.  Any ideas on when to use them also??

I use it all the time. From maggots right up to all their larger plastics. I dont use minnows much in the winter cause they are hard to keep so I have found that the plastics work for me, and Gulp happens to be one of my favorites.

I haven't used it ice fishing yet, but until ice up I was murdering the eyes on it 3" gulp minnow.  Way better than fumbling around with minnows in the bucket.  Got to keep it in your pocket cause it'll freeze solid if you don't.  So IMO any situation that your jigging minnows, Gulp will work just as good.

Good fishing

I use mostly for bait keepers by just biting off a small piece off to keep crawlers, leechs and live minnows on ice fishing because we are barbless. when I do use a whole 4in grub it is usally white or green and that is in a river system. Have caught walleye pike and perch with them,I have used the power micros pink and white for perch as well and done wellwith them in big populations of perch,
