Different Glow Colors
« on: Dec 10, 2017, 12:11 PM »
Do you have a preference with your glow color? Have you had success colors like orange, purple, blue or white? Have any colors worked better for you in certain situations than the standard green?

Be safe out there and thanks!

Red is my favorite glow color for perch and bass. Green is my favorite glow color for trout.  Some days, you just have to test out a few patterns to see what's working. Snow cover on the ice, sun/cloud conditions also factor into the pattern that works on a given outing.
Flags up, gentlemen!!!

Black doesn't glow ~ but, when all else fails to produce, give it a try.     ;)2

Pink was hot for us last year, was in like 15 feet of water. Put the jig in glow cup pulled it out looked like it was on fire dropped in hole when it hit like 5-7 feet it was literally a race to the jig was hilarious

I've had good luck with pink, and standard green, but blue seems to be the ticket, at least for crappie around here..

I use super glow powder paints on many of my jigs. Buy them by the pound for my jig business.
The orange is my favorite.
But I also use green, blue, hot pink, red, yellow, and green chartreuse.
All work at certain times.
A real hot color for me is a glow with a non glow brush tapped over it.
Maybe 80/20 glow to non glow.
Killing em with it right now.
Another factor to consider is does your glow stay true to color?
By that I mean is your red or blue the same color in the dark or does it glow  the same greenish white as standard glow?
My super glow colors glow the same color as they are in the daylight.

I have only been experimenting with green and purple. The powder that I purchased are mostly light green/white in light and glow purple or green when charged. I didn't think that would matter if this was the middle of the night and glow was the only color they could see. I have the whole rainbow of jigs for the daylight hours.

I will try the 80/20 thing and thanks for the tips.
