I like smallies a lot, but honestly... if it tightens my line and bends my rod,... I'm all about it!

One of these...

...or maybe the next one I catch!  Man, this makes me want to go fishing.  There are species I have yet to catch and many more that I have to show my family.

What Jay said (man am I jealous ;) ),  Steelhead might be my favorite, but I love trying to catch new species as well.  Prob depends on the day and what I decide to target though.  Love living in Mt where we have so many options!

Grew up catching largemouth with my uncle and smallmouth with my grandfather below the dam in Thompson Falls.  I cant help it I'm a bass junkie! Of course its always fun to watch a pike come gliding in on the underwater cam or a wake coming towards a topwater plug.

Depends on the season, the day, or the place for me.  Can't beat chasing walleye and pike on the ice at Peck in the winter, big ole cats on the Yellowstone in the summer or even big bows and browns on the Horn with a fly.  Pretty much just love fishing when and where ever I can wet a line! ;D

Great stuff Jay:)

It all starts when you are young.  It builds inside of you...

Then pretty soon you are doing it with your own family...

And hoping to start the cycle all over again...

As for catching them hands down it would be the big 20lb plus pike and a good walleye bite, then a big fat sturgeon and then after that pretty much anything that will bite.

Crappie, hands down my favorite!  Though jigging burbot at night is a very close second.

I have never jigged for Ling. I always just used cut bait in a hook, but I saw a youtube video a few days ago, where they were jigging for ling and catching a bunch. Looks like fun.
