Moon Unit Zappa ;D

I'd give her a "normal" name then call her by a nickname if needbe or she'll be tortured the first day of class every year. My son is Sam, but we always call him Salmon. This is from a guy whose legal name is Bernard.

Anyway, Heather is that great little minature tree with pink flowers you find in the high country so that might work.

Diana means Huntress
I like naming girls after mountain ranges or rivers. You have Judith, Maria, Ruby, and a lot more.

most any plant name that has a flower... Althea or Thea for short (rose of sharon or hibiscus).

When we named our Daughter Hunter, most people would associate the name with masculinity.  But over the years and association with the name she has brought her own special femininity to the name.
