hazy windows
« on: Nov 23, 2015, 09:58 AM »
I just picked up a used Eskimo pop up shack and all the windows have a haze on them.   Is there any way to clean these or am I stuck buying new windows?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Don't use any Windex or Clorox wipes! Your windows will crack and fall out:(  I know, learned the hard way!

Go to NAPA and buy some Meguiars mirror glaze cleaner and the polish.
It is made for plastic (plexiglass) windows.

Had some haze on my Adventurer windows ...I had stacked them atop each other for storage in a bag ..I just let them air out ...took a bit but seemed to work for me .

Thanks for the help!  I know I've got some cleaner and polish I use on my motorcycle windshield so I'll give that a try.

Worked wonders on my mom's plastic headlights.  When I started you could barely see through.  When I was done the were almost like new.  Toothbrush and a non gritty toothpaste.  I used arm and hammer with baking soda.

I would definitely contact Eskimo to make sure you don't hurt them. I would try something like Meguiar's PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish, or any other clear plastic cleaner on it. I was going to try it on my boat canvas windows, but I just ended up putting them away for winter, will try in the spring.

to clean my windows and they look like new.
