LX5 snow shield blurry
« on: Mar 01, 2014, 05:54 PM »
Ok this snow shield thing is like looking through beer goggles. It appears the defects are on the inside of the shield, they are very small ripples that are there from new. Is that the way they all are and if so has anyone tried a headlight polishing kit to get rid of them? Thanks

I have two, both are crystal clear. Give Marcum a call...

Electrical tape solves the loose fit problem

I was on a bus and just happened to be sitting on a news paper. This guy came up and asked. "Are you reading that ?"
I said  yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.

I have two.  They both sit in a desk drawer.  Not quite as bad as beer goggles but worse that occasionally clearing the snow/water off the face.

They are injection molded pieces so they wont be 100% optically clear but they should be close to it. You can try and polish them but in all honesty you're probably better off just getting a new one.
