The easiest 10" hole I've ever drilled. (ION ALPHA)

I didn't think drilling a 10" hole couldn't get much easier than the G2, but this new Alpha + blew me away.
Very impressive!

That is impressive. I’ve got the G2 version and would love to get the G3. Got me thinking 🤔

I wish I hadn't watched this video the other day. I punched about 2 dozen holes today and another 2 dozen yester with my Eskimo hand auger through 15-18 inches. All I can think about now is which kidney to sell for an ion, and how quickly I can find a buyer

Is the only difference between the regular and the Plus the composite bit and the $100 price tag?

There are a couple different options and price levels (retail price)

10"
Alpha (steel bit) and one battery
579.99

10" Alpha Plus (composite bit) and one battery
729.99

10" Alpha plus (composite bit) and 2 batteries
799.99

Essentially yes, the bit material is really the only difference between the Alpha and Alpha Plus

Oh, by the way.  I did another video yesterday and I was stunned.  The 10" Alpha Plus was FASTER and EASIER to drill a hole than my 8" Eskimo Pistol bit with Ridgid Octane drill and 9ah battery.   Since when are 10" holes faster and easier to drill than 8"?  LOL

This thing is awesome!

Here's the second video I referred to above with the 10" ION drilling faster than the 8" Pistol Bit

Tip for you guys looking at the 10" ION. Get water proof boots. That bit is so smooth its hard to tell  when you are going to hit water and those big flites pull a lot of water onto your feet real fast.
