New rod and reel
« on: Jan 24, 2016, 12:52 PM »
So I just picked up a 13 Fishing Tickle Stick 23" UL. Really like the way the rod feels so far although I haven't had it out. I plan on hitting the ice next weekend. I paired it with a Cabelas pro guide 1000 reel. The reel feels great with this rod. Nice balance, smooth (7 ball bearing), and drag adjustment is nice. I will update once I get a few fish landed with it. Cabela's has the Tickle stick on sale for $39.99 right now so i decided to swing for it.

Be careful with ticklestick!   I broke my tip off on my 23 ul this weekend.
