Buck Lake
« on: Jan 18, 2005, 10:51 AM »
A few of us are planning a trip to Buck Lake west of Pigeon Lake this weekend.  We went out last year from Calhoun Bay Rec Area.  There was roughly 1.5 to 2 feet of snow with a hard crust.  Driving on was only possible with a 4X4.  Can anyone tell us how the lake is for driving on as of late?  Ice thickness and snow depth?  Any info is appreciated.

i was out there about 3 weeks ago when they were netting and i was driving on it with my 2 wheel drive ranger with some difficulty. But with all this snow in the last while im sure its 4x4 country now ! The rain probably hasnt help your situation.
