Nils Master ice saw?
« on: Nov 23, 2006, 08:19 AM »
Anyone here ever use one? Any feedback, good, bad, ugly? I've been wanting one for a few years now and finally bought one... I have no idea what the hell I'll do with it but it sure looks cool :o ;D

Here are a few pics:

There was a thread going around on a ice fishing forum a couple of years ago and the people that had them thought they were slicker than snot on a doorknob.  :D ;)

I understand the concept, but how do you get your hole started?

Kina what I'm hoping to find out... Obviously with thicker ice you'd need to start with an auger and go from there, but the tip looks like I might be able to start by using it like a spud bar. This is totally a toy for me, after 3 years of looking at them, curiousity got the best of me :D

That thing looks cool, I would think that thing could poke through the ice fairly quick being that sharp to start the hole.

I think you start poking and it goes throughby itself. If it is more complicated than that it should come with instructions. :o
