Thinking of buying a vexilar flx20. Does anyone have one and can you give me your opinion on this flasher? Thank you.

Very reliable, very simple to use. Not much for bells and whistles, but gives you simple “turn it on and fish” capability. That model gives you bottom zoom too. Excellent build quality.

Very good flasher, low power mode for shallow water. Which is a great feature.

I have the flx28 that was a refurb unit.  I love it.  Make sure that you take a look at the refurbs on the Vex website and feel free to give them a call.  They offer a nice discount on a new unit and it also includes a warranty.  Some of the "refurbs" are actually overstocks returned from big box stores.

Thank you all for the reply. I know vexilar do sell refurbs, but do not know if they have free shipping.

I had an 8 and a 18 deep both reconditioned units , I sold the 8 after 20 years and the 18 was 12 when I got rid of it , far as I know they are still going , if I was to ever go back to a flasher I wouldn’t hesitate to get another reconditioned unit

Great unit for ice fishing, I have one.
It's capable of lots more than most people utilize. Booklet it comes with & vexilars website are great tools to maximize the units capabilities. I highly recommend that model.

I have a vex fl8se and it does everything it has to and more. Love it. About 12 or 13 years old and it looks and works like new

I too have the Vexilar flx 28 and am extremely satisfied. Excellent build quality and the battery life is outstanding. Can't go wrong with one of these, just depends how many bells and whistles you want to pay for.
