I know this might be a longshot, but do u guys think there will be ice on hermit lake and/or any other small ponds in the Sanbornton area by next weekend?

It would be very marginal at best. Warm and rain forecast for Wed. right now. I`ve got 12 deg this a.m. so be patient water temp is right for freezing.

highly unlikely... too much wind. plenty of cold, but wind was killer yesterday

The problem is going to be the rain! Tuesday into Wed we are supposed to get a pretty huge volume of rain. Going to screw up any ice if there is any out there. 12 degrees on my drive in but the small lake I pass over every day had whitecaps rolling in it!
