I have only driven on the ice one time this year. We were on a lake and saw about 30 vehicles cruise right down the boat ramp and across the ice about 50. So we drove out and stopped about 50 yards and drilled one hole to check it. After we found 19 inches we figured it was ok. I have to say it was really convenient, but I was nervous the whole time. My truck doesn't know how to swim either. Brian

But y'all failed to state that after this Ford truck gits cleaned up, it'll run. Chevys and Dodges are on the bottom and left there because everyone knows that they won't start up again anyway!

Look at the side view picture and try to imagine yourself being in the cab of that truck. Can you say "claustrophobia". Not to mention wet feet and severe cramps from trying to perch on the back of the seat. WOW!!!!!!! I'd be looking for something to break out that Back Window even if the only thing hard enough was my Head. LOL
P.S. I'm as hardcore GM as anybody but even I cant blame that on the truck!

There was already one ford down there and that one went under to. they had to cut a trench in the ice and drop a chain (from shore to truck), haul the truck to shore under water till the top hit the ice. cut a hole in the ice big enough to haul the truck out. then go back and haul the other one out the same way. the one on the pic was a 2003 driven by a 17 year old boy who didnt have permission to have it and it was a company vehicle...sheesh...thi nk he learned anything

I would drive on the ice but not with a full size diesel pick up!!!! I have a chevy duramax and it weighs close to 7,000 lbs id be an idiot to take it on the ice id buy a ford ranger and take that on a lake, just cause its light and i dont like fords
