Drifter thank you for the cabin update thought you might still be waiting on the ice to melt. Sorry about the ice damage to your dock. How did your boat preform after all the recent work done to it.
Steve

Boat's great. :)

Drifter/Dave good to read your boat is performing well after the repairs. May your idea for the dock work out.

3 day weekend!!!!
Got a little bit done but not as much as hoped I would.
Seems I was really tired. Got to the cabin after work and after lugging gear up the hill I chilled and watched a movie.
Went to bed right after at 8:30-9:00 and didn't wake until 10:00AM the next morning still tired. Slept most of the day on the couch. Got up at 6:00PM for dinner and a movie. Went to bed at 9:00 and woke at 9:00 the next morning. Finally felt refreshed. :)
Got a few of the ceiling joists installed properly finally. Still a bunch to go.

Also got some of the electrical rough in done.

Drifter this weekend may have been a set back with the cabin build but think your body got some much needed rest. Thanks for the photo and update.

Got some more electrical in and installed some insulation this weekend.
Left early on this holiday Monday due to less than stellar weather.
T'was rainin' and gusting up to 50 MPH.
For some reason the parking lot at the ramp was empty.  ???

No cabin update this week.
Workin' on my ride. New pads, rotors and calipers all around.
Next Friday my vacation starts and I will have 37 days out at the cabin so lots of updates coming.

Good to hear there were no problems completing the brake job. Smart thinking to get your suv and boat in good shape before your vacation.

Hey Dave hows the weather in your neck of the woods?  It seems like our whole state is on fire right now and I was just wondering if you were experiencing the same smoke and heat.

We have had a high haze here in central Michigan the last couple of days. It is smoke from the Canadian Fires. At least  you can not smell it. years ago you could smell the smoke from a fire in the central Upper Penninsula.

We are exactly the opposite of y'all!!!
Had a lot of cloud and some rain with cool temps.
I believe we've only broken 70*F 2 or 3 times so far this year.
Morning temps have been in the 40's for the past week.
We had smoke earlier from wildfires in Northern Alberta but that was before it cooled down and the wind switched to the North/Northwest.
We've had few fires so far this year. Currently our fire threat is Low which is good. ;)
I'm watching the Swan Lake fire on the KP as it's slowly trying to make it's way to where my camper is stored in Cooper Landing but I doubt it will make it there.
Had closer fires a couple of years ago up slope of the town.

In 2014 we had hundreds of fires all over the NWT.
That year 8,600,000 acres burned up!!!!
FYI, that equals 13437.5 square miles!!!
Bigger than Massachusetts and Rhode Island combined!!!!
There were people in Colorado whining about the smoke.
Bunch of little wankers!!! Our whole territory is on fire and they're whining that the smoke was ruining their view!!!  :%$#!: :%$#!: :%$#!:

I’m super jealous, it’s finally starting to cool down here and when I say cool down I’m only talking mid 70’s.  The Swan Lake fire is slowly losing steam as it gets closer to the mountains and the authorities predict that it should reach full containment before to long.  Hope the rest of your summer goes good and may the lightning stay away.

Been at the cabin since Saturday and don't have to go back to work until August 19th.  :)

For the first time in three summers I've actually gone fishing!!! Felt good and I managed to go 2 for 4 on Saturday and 6 for 7 yesterday after dinner. No big ones, just nice eating sized lakers.

So here's a sunset pic!!!
