Not Beaver, but I went to Murray next to it.  It was all iced over and getting around in that area isnt bad with the little snow we have had.  I would bet Beaver should be froze up too

Speaking of Beaver Lake, do you fish it Neptune?  I heard tale that perch are being pulled out of there and that was news to me.  Can you confirm or deny this?

These are precisely the responses I get from people when I ask, haha.  I guess I just need to punch a few holes and find out for myself! Any idea if Beaver grows bigger kokanee than Dickey?

Haven't heard of anyone catching Perch through the ice yet.
Last time I fished Beaver the Salmon were dinks and haven't been back for a few years.

How small is a dink kokanee to you whitefish?  I can't imagine they're much smaller than at Dickey's 8-10", haha.  Regarding perch, if they're in Little Beaver they have to be in Beaver.  According to the fwp writeup on it they're not, but I suppose they could have done their net studies before the perch arrived.  But according to this video, at least the little guys are in there.

Put it this way, after pulling Kokanee after Kokanee through the ice that were smaller than the diameter of my 8" hole, a 12" salmon had me stoked  ;D

Caught perch trolling this summer with salmon gear. About as big as the kokanee

Couple inches of cloudy, over maybe 4" of clear.  Road is good, just hardpack, not icy yet.

Lmao, did you watch the video?  Nothing against the guy (blindly fishing a new body of water in another state...from shore...is no easy task; and for that matter, kudos on bringing the kiddo along) but that isn't exactly a crowd-drawing jumbo.  If anything, it might deter the crowds (you're welcome fellow North 93 anglers)!

Thank you all.  I'm not sure why I have a compulsion to catch a fish out of as many lakes as possible, rather than fish a single lake and know it well, but that's where I'm at in life.  And thanks for that nugget of info JimF!  In exchange, if you find yourself short on kokanee in the freezer and need a quick infusion of 8-10"'ers, head on up to Dickey, she's loaded!
