just picked up the Marcum vx 1 pro!

Hi guys! im new to the sport and forum and i just picked up the Marcum vx 1 pro and i was just wondering if theres a way to check how much battery life is left? also what do you guys think of the Marcum vx 1 pro?

It is a great unit.  I'm not sure about how to judge battery life.  Hope u catch a lot of fish

The vx1 pro is an awesome flasher. there is no way to check battery life unless you buy a digital meter and wire it in. As long as you charge it when your done using it you won't really have to worry about it. I think the vx1 pros can run for over 20 hours.

Go to Wally World and buy a Minn Kota voltage tester,just touch it to the terminals to get a reading.... also has many more usefull uses

You've got a great flasher! I was told if you use it three hours, charge it for three hours after the use, four for four and so on. I did this for a year with no problems and then I won a Marcum Battery Charger Indicator, BCI50 on Ice Shanty. The 3:3, 4:4 ratios were farly close, but the Battery Charger Indicator gives you peace of mind.  Good fishing...

The front of the 12V 7ah battery, 12V 9ah battery, and 6V 4.5ah battery sitting on the shelf in front of me all say "avoid complete discharge".

Only if you have a charger with a float! (you do, I know from previous postings.. marcum's digital systems)

If you leave your vx-1p charger (standard clip charger, no float) hooked up and plugged in for an extended time you will weaken the lifetime drastically.
