New to Power Augers - clarification needed

I bought a Eskimo z51 10 inch auger.  I read alot of the posts on this site about that auger.  I'm just looking for clarification on the recommended oil additive to use.  Is it preferred to use the amsoil saber or the Tanaka Perfect Mix.  Any considerations for breaking in the engine?

Also, does anyone know if Walmart sells the gas cap?

Don't know about the cap... I just got the Strikemaster Magnum and it likes a 40:1 mix.... You're gonna love it when you rip your first hole man... I spent an hour just cutting holes I liked it so much....

Should be 40:1   man and your good to go.

I am sure your owners manual has all the recomended mixtures and oil types for your auger

I have a jiffy 10" auger and it is 40:1 I would imagine yours to be the same.

Eskimo recommends 50:1.

GAS AND OIL Quality
To operate the engine, we recommend using Viper® brand 2-cycle oil (P/N 300400) to ensure that the engine operates correctly throughout the life of the engine. Viper® brand 2-cycle oil has fuel stabilizer additive which helps to prevent gasoline from oxidizing and gumming up the carburetor when the unit is not in use for long periods of time. Use unleaded regular gas only. It is best to use premium gasoline that has no ethanol content.

Run ice auger with a 50:1 ratio.

Gas cap should be PN#11936, and is $4.95  You will want to call them at 1 800 345 6007, ext 146 for Eva, to make sure. Stick with the recommended 50:1 ratio. Use good non-oxy gas (NO ethanol!!) with your oil and you're good to go.
