Drove around and found two places to get on. First place the only place that was safe was 4 foot of water. Tried to get out further and ice was just over an inch. Second place plenty of safe ice in a bay secluded from the wind caught a keeper right away. Must have spooked the other fish rest of the day was rough they would shoot off the bottom look then go back down. Be safe barely 2in of ice have a partner and something to float with just in case.
