HDS in cold weather?

Does anyone use a HDS 5 or 7 outside when the temps could be well below zero?

The coldest I can remember was all day from 7-20 degrees and had no issues.  I've used it tons of times on my boat when we sat below freezing all day and never had any issue.

There is a thread in the ice fishing electronics forum all about the hds 5

I was on a bus and just happened to be sitting on a news paper. This guy came up and asked. "Are you reading that ?"
I said  yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.

If it's stupid I'll gladly take it off of your hands, I can use it, haha.

HDS7 works fine in 10deg for me.   ;D

Colder than that (usually with wind) I'm in the flipover.

I use either my 5 or 7 in the winter for GPS either on the quad or in the cab of the truck, both still work perfect....
