Hi guys, happy New Year’s Eve. Just wondering.. where are the perch located at Fort San? What depth?

Just give me directions to where you are catching them so I can come and catch them. Thanks!

I think they left Fort San! ??? I can't find them either! Seen some idiot left a decent sized one on the ice not far from where I was fishing last weekend! So i guess there are still some in the area. I was there today, no perch, 6 eyes and a 28" pike, all went back in the hole. Happy New Year!

I drive on a Fort Campground, I do see tracks headed that way towards the south side, also see trucks coming on and going off somewhere on the south side of Fort Qu' Applle.

Are people driving over the ice heave at the pasqua boat launch in the park?

Yes you can get on through the heave now. It's not great access but it's better than it was.

Jan. 3/2020 - On at B-Say-Tah.  Ice about 14"-15" at 6 different locations.

Drove on from the boat launch with trailer.  Some remanent of ice heave, but no issues getting on.

Fished 30' to 38' of water over the 6 locations.  One 3 lb Walleye and 1 Tullibee ~12:30pm - 4:00pm.  Very slow day, not a lot marking on the flasher.

Hey everyone!

I'm new to fishing Echo during the hardwater season. Is there much for parking off-ice and walking onto the lake other than the park? Say around B-Say-Tah or other areas? I have a young family and it makes me nervous regardless of ice thickness driving around on any lake. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Jan. 28/2020 - On at B-Say-Tah.  Ice about 20"-21" at 8 different locations.

Drove on from the boat launch with trailer.  Still some remanent of ice heave, but no issues getting on.

Fished 32' to 42' of water over the 6 locations.  One 1.5 lb Walleye and 2 Tullibee ~10:30pm - 2:30pm.  Very slow day, not a lot marking on the flasher.

Moved to the park entrance at 2:30.  There is an ice heave at the boat launch, but not too high to drive on with.  Fished 35-40' over 2 locations, nothing landed in an hour and a half, and very few hits on the flasher.

Overall a very slow day at Echo.

Anyone know how the park access is at the park going onto Pasqua? Thinking about heading out Monday...probably should buy an extension too

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go for an evening bite on Echo for burbot?  I'm assuming the spawn will be heating up soon.  I've never tried to target them.  I've only caught them while fishing for walleye.

Mar 5/2021 - On at B-Say-Tah.  Ice about 32"-34" at 3 different locations.

Drove on from the boat launch with trailer.  Was easy to get on, but some water running down the launch onto the shoreline.  Standing water at the shoreline when we came off at ~3:15 pm.

Fished 36' to 42' of water over the 3 locations.  11 Tullibee ~8:30 pm - 3:00 pm.  Slow day.., marked quite a lot on the flasher, but the bite was very slow after 11:20 am.

Overall a slow day at Echo.

If we get that warm weather they are forecasting, it will be tough to get on from the B-Say-Tah boat launch as the shoreline will have a lot of water near the boat launch eroding the ice there.  Stay safe!

Anybody been out fishing on either Echo or Pasqua this week? Wondering about access points and how the bite has been.

Went to echo for the first time since we moved out of the area in 2016. Terribly slow day only one fish caught but was a 17lb pike so won’t complain too much. Ice is deteriorating fast, holes would fill with water 1/4 the way through drilling them, still over 3 1/2ft of ice though.

Walked  on pasqua yesterday. Still seeing trucks on ice. As Big Burk  said ice is thick but soft.
