Back out on the hard water.
« on: Apr 20, 2014, 10:30 PM »
Butterflys, Otter, Marten, Rabbit, Moose, lots of ice, and loads of sun, and a lil rain turned into a great day out there on a couple remote lakes.  After long sled ride we mader into the lakes full of hard fighting wild rainbows.

Heres a few pix:

One lake the water was green/aqua color, some of the ice was solid green looking and water clarity was excellent-could see hook 15-20 feet down no problem- The ice was right to the bottom of the power auger. Gonna be a while before the mountain lakes open up.

Another lake had some open water near the shore at lower elevation.
Almost time to get the boats on the water tho  :) :)

Prolly going to be the last time on the hard water.
A local lake down chief lake today still has lots of ice- shore is getting a lil soft but still lot of ice for them late season days out...

Till next hardwater season,

Tight lines,

Living the dream indeed! I would say I am jealous, but I am more glad that you went out and had a day like you did!
On to open water season. Time for tshirts, sunshine, and working up a slight sweat reeling in the big'uns. Hope to see lots of that over on the Myfishfinder forum!
