A Very NICE SLOB Perch

A good friend of mine landed this slob last week...Not quite 15 inches....a real beauty. First thing she said to me when she saw me was... "are you jealous?"......I said "Hell Yes!"

I want to add that it would have been over 15" with the tail fin squeezed for maximum length.. @)

My daughter caught one a couple of years ago that was 15 and we ate it. I should have had it mounted for her. When I first saw it I thought it was smallmouth.

Nice fish! My buddy got one 14 3/4 two weeks ago. We also thought it was a smallie when it was coming through the hole.

I hear you Bart.... i.ve been chasing that 15" perch my whole life.
Funny thing is I,ve been ice fishing that same lake, and even the same spot, on and off for over 35 years and have never landed one there over 12 and a half inches....this is her first season ice fishing that lake !
We fish the same area there, and we have even fished the same holes this season...but I am really happy for her , and jealous at the same time!  lol

Jigging was slow , she only jigged a couple small blue gills that day...the slob perch ate a large shiner and she hand lined it  in on a tip-up.

Duke 14, I will mention you liked her hat...she is a huuuge Miami Dolphin fan, even has Miami Dolphin collars on her 2 dogs.

Nice fish! Great thread....My PB is 14 lets see some more pics of some slobs! Looking at pics is about all I can do now till the water is hard again!
