 Burchard Lake today 12/10/05 (pawnee county) ice thickness in boat ramp area was 4" near shore, 2 1/2" - 3" ten yards out. near the dam, 6" five yards out, 3" ten yards out.  PLEASE....... use your own best judgement. the temps are to be in the high 30's / low 40's next few days.

 went back to burchard yesterday morning (friday 23rd) the ice was approx. 6"  thick, water is very clear. C / R a lot of bluegills  in 8 fow using #10  green swedish pimples & chart. # 8 tear drops, tipped with wax worms. had our best luck jigging aggressively, 2' ob.
  the warm wind is opening holes near shore  as well as any protruding brush. so use caution if going there today.
