Not much different than the last few years.  There will be lots of time to fish the ice.  With the cost of fuel this year this weather is a welcome break for some of us shortens the winter a little.  Happy & safe new year to all.

Well maybe this warm with rain will help the ice out that nasty ice and make some better ice on Oneida down the road , I usually don’t figure on getting on the main lake until first or second week of January,
Anything before that is a bonus
Until then I’ll find ice else where ,lots of time to fill a freezer ,if I didn’t have an issue at home I’d been out before Christmas
I don’t mind traveling , as I have a fishing partner , we split the cost of fuel which makes it more than reasonable
This ol boy wishes all of you a safe and productive ice season 🎣

Happy New Year to all!!

Freddie, you and the goon will most likely have a tag-along at times when we get ice.😁 No worries, I’ll leave the sidekick in the truck!!😂

I am using the Navionics App on my phone for that. I am not sure if there is a way to download those waypoints to a graph?

With the navionics phone app, click on the search icon…click on long/lat….. you can scroll up and down on the numbers to chose the waypoint location. Click on show on map… it will show you the location. Click on the point it shows… it will take you to a list of icons/markers page. There, you will chose the icon you’d like to mark the spot for a gas hole. Lots of gas holes are already on the app for Oneida Lake. First, you must open up community edits from the menu page to see them all. They will be red hazard markers. Hope this gets you into the right direction.

Man, I’m jonesing bad for ice!!!🤬🤯

The NE end actually held it's ice sheet until last night. Ready to take the boat out now though.

Thanks for clearing that up KP!!!

Might be a while before that ice comes back. The NOAA 8-14 day outlook is not in our favor.  :%$#!:

Its my fault too, I saw people on the lake and gave the sled A tune up. 2 days later the weather went to hell.
