Anyone use tip ups fishing Bay of Quinte
« on: Jan 24, 2023, 12:56 AM »
Just wondering if anyone is using tip ups when fishing bay of quinte? Went there last weekend and a friend told me not to waste my time with tip ups, no one uses them there. I was wondering if anyone here actually does use them?

I fished the Bay quite a few times 30+ years ago. My friend and I almost always put out 1 tip up each. We caught a few small Pike. I did manage 1 nice Walleye. Locals were pretty shocked they said they had never seen one caught on a "still line", It can happen.

I use them and I have others ask me why? I say why not?

May your tip-up spool while your flag raises with hopes of landing the big one.
