-28C with 1 dink walleye report.

Hi all,

Finally got out on the ice, it was around -28C, lucky there was no wind.

Arrived at around 2:30pm

Only put one on the ice and missed a whole bunch

Froze our behinds off till the bitter end, would do it again in a heartbeat!

The slush out there was horrendous….REALLY BAD….my buddy got stuck before we had wet a line. Missed a couple of big ones….and littler ones…..line freeze/stuck bail arms/bad luck etc…etc..

Got stopped by a CO on the way out, good guy named Colin, he had a hard time believing we only had 1 fish to take home, but he knows us pretty well and took our word for it without searching (probably to cold to be bothered more like…lol).

Never been that much of a fan of walleye fishing in the winter, but was awesome to get out after almost 4 weeks of elbow rehab!!!!

Tight lines all.

Like I mentioned previously I plan 1 to 2 week long trips once a year and like to change it up now and then.Ferthest we've gone so far is North Bay.Plan on other destinations like lake of the woods area etc. in US but the private obscure places in canada.Been to multiple spots around Simco and some small private lakes like Ben lake hit Nipising a few times also. :icefish:

No Marinas in my area Blizz, a couple of rough landings on the Big lakes and some really rough landings on others…some don't have landings. Any info you want about this area feel free to ask, i'll do what i can to answer any questions, or find someone who does know. I run a guide service too…..cost…2 cans of red bull and no political talk in the boat ;) :P
