Here is my new "Smitty" with wheels!! These are 3" casters inline with the risers mounted just above ground so they won't "plow" snow while pulling. These are wheels that don't need to be removed (very convenient) like other setups I have seen, my Clam Yukon with auger wheels very easy, I installed handles up by ski tips, just pick up with the handles and wheel across that parking lot til you get to the ice, let down, grab the pull rope and go! See pics. Hope this helps you on yours. Thank You!

Now that's American ingenuity! Take a great product and make it even better. Had to be one of those,"Now why didn't I think of that sooner?" moments.
Way to go Smitty!

Smitty0312 Smitty0312 he is the man always coming up with a better plan.     .Great idea be sure to include the caster wheels and handles in your sled kits .
Remember if pulling a heavy sled leaves you feeling &*%$#! build or buy a Smitty sled.
May this be the year the curse is broken GO Cubs.

Brilliant! Now I need to start fresh and kick my rear supports to the rear of the skis.

Got the idea of adding wheels myself after a few dry drags last year. I use the wheels until sled is on ice. Lift end put on bucket remove retaining pin . Put wheel in sled and pin back in hole. No tools needed.

Used a half inch bolt as a false axle on each side. Length of bolt was 5-1/2 inch. Wheels were cheap one from Harbor Freight they were 6 in diameter. Will give full report at
end of upcoming season. May it be a nice long one. Not to go against the vast majority but I must say " GO TRIBE "
