According to the flier, the tourney is to benefit the Burrillville Gridiron Club. And sign up is that morning on the ice, according to the info I received. Sounds like it will be fun.

I heard that there will be a blue pop-up canopy set up on the ice and that's where you will register.I also heard that there will be a great prize for the biggest bass. Send me a PM and I'll tell you what else I've heard.

Was on Wakefield this past Wednesday from 11:30am-2:30pm...7 pickerel & 1 bass (2lbs)...still about 10" of ice.

The edges are a little sketchy (pretty much everywhere), but this week should firm them up just fine. Plenty of ice once you get out.

Took a ride up there today and saw that it was okay... only 23 degrees up there today, hopefully doesnt get much above that for the rest of the week.

I'm hoping that the snow will insulate the ice so it will last even longer. A few cold nights and we'll be able to walk right on.

yeah man, sometimes the snow works with the ice and then sometimes it doesnt, oh well, maybe it will get good and frozen this week. really looking foward to some quality time on the ice.

Nice, have to check it out, going to Hudson NH tomarrow, hopefully will get into some bass and picks. By Sunday I think The ice should be rock hard in Wakefield Pond. Amazing how you can travel from South Cnty North about 45min and there is still good ice up there!

:)Went to check Wakefield this afternoon with FRESHWTRFISH. Walked right on using a 6' plank. Went out 25' and drilled through 6" of good ice. Checked again at 75' and found the same. Just wish that we had some gear with us. we would have fished till dark. Looks like there will be ice for the weekend
