Just curious if anyone has fished St froid lake in winterville? if so how was the fishing?

I know off the mouth of some of the tribs is some great smelting. Also some nice touge and there are whitefish. Not saying I've figured it out, only iced fished it a time or two.

unless you sled to the boat launch there isn't access that isn't private. there lots of small salmon in there and a few decent togue and trout .havent heard much about the fishing there this year but its been real cold up here so doesn't mean that they aren't getting any just not many fishing it. like was said. in front of any of the tribs. is good. about a 3 mi. sled ride down red river rd. to get to launch that comes out near birch river outlet.
